The damage is not as severe as first thought the loom is fine. There are only two damaged wires the brown ones which attach to the starter solenoid; Open to reasonable offers

Can a LR 90 2.5 petrol wiring loom be used to replace a 2.5 nas diesel loom in a 1985 90? Or is it completely different

I don't know the size but I tightened the wires on the heater box there's a sticky on here plus I changed the thermostat which made my heater hotter

We'll I've given this some more thought and have decided to go ahead sell my truck, it's just not practical for me plus there's potentially a new commute to Manchester on the cards :) All it needs is a partial loom from a 19j or a couple of lengths of wire if your handy with electrics and bobs...

I'm after a 19j 2.5 Diesel engine loom for a SWB 90. Can Anyone help me out?

Mine had the exact same symptoms to start with which has resulted in fried electrics. Check the wires are secure on the starter

You could ditch the sensible ideas and whack a huge off road tyre on the bonnet, that'll keep it shut :p
