Use a load pro on the circuit to perform a voltage drop test. This will help you work out if it is the wiring struggling or the starter.

The diesel is inferior in every way apart from fuel consumption and the ability to operate under water. Keep the V8.

Because those trucks are carrying a substantial amount of goods that contribute to the UK economy. Your little car does not. Why can't your land rover maintain 60?

If you were causing trucks to pass you, than yes you were holding them up. Perhaps it's time you upgraded or maintained your land rover if it struggles to maintain a reasonable speed.

Motorways are the lifeblood of this country and need to be as free flowing as possible. At a minimum you should be travelling at 56mph so as not to hold up trucks.

Might be an idea to grease your transfer box linkages while you have good access.

Are there little metal cups spot welded to the axle bracket? You need to chisel them off.

If the threads got covered in grease during the last bearing inspection, it can prevent them from tightening up properly as it creates a "cushion" effect. I've seen half shaft bolts come loose after a dozen miles due to this, despite being tightened with an impact gun.

£160 Quid for an oil change... What a rip off. The standard cost for an oil change when I live in America was $30 or roughly £20-25 quid. I hate spending £40 in this country for just the oil and filter.

I'm currently using 265/75 r16 but will be going with 285/75/r16 for my next set of tyres. Cooper AT3's are my rubber of choice. Better ground clearance and better stability when cornering... what's not to like.

I'm thinking he has the disco transfer box fitted as well. Would make sense. There should be a sticker on the transfer box denoting its ratio. 1:4 is defender.... 1:2 is discovery. Easy enough job to source a defender box and bolt it up.

Make sure you change both oil filters as well.
