Auto does make a difference, due to it having extra oil coolant pipes on the left-hand side (if sat in drivers seat) for the gearbox. Maybe these can help but you would have to do without your landy for a couple of days.

Mine was £170 but I went slightly bigger in size for the extra £10.

Like Discool says get it reconditioned by someone locally, if you ring a couple of local motor-factors they will be able to point you in the right direction for someone to do it.

Ask for it back and re-seal it yourself and keep for a spare or just scrap it, either way then they can't do it and profit twice.

They are fitted with thread-lock, mine were tight but came undone. I did how-ever remove my TC after I'd taken the gear-box off.

It will stay on the plate as the shaft will just slide out. Machine Mart do a bolt extractor kit, I can't post a link as I'm posting from my phone. You won't need another TC, unless you've had it stuck and reving the arse off it.

Dont let it backfire cause you will find bits of your MAFS and air filter in your engine due to it blowing the mesh out and sucking it back in. Try changing spark-plugs, leads and air filter (I have a K&N due to the air box been blown apart at some point). Mine has all of these regularly (6mths)...

From empty to full you should be getting around 20% less than your tank, are you running it completely empty?? I get around 54ltrs in my 67ltr tank and if I drive it gentle I get around 170 miles running round town. On a run I get 250-270 keeping it around 65mph which surprises me too. I let...

I had one on hire and it did 20mpg around town, it was the tdv6 hse. Everything had a small fault from what I could find. I thought it was dead nice at first but in the end I couldn't wait get my 95 V8i on the road. From what I hear the Disco 4 is better on fuel and a lot of the bugs ironed out.

I'm going to change my front and back discs, my question is what tools do I need? Its 95 V8i Disco, Im going to put some solid drilled and slotted discs on are they much better than standard solid discs?

Try having a look at all the ball joints, track rod ends, bushes and check the wheel bearings (maybe could do with a tweak). Mine did the same, it was the wheel bearings.
