    Well when I replaced/checked the braking system over a few months ago all seemed fine but... As its now a few months down the line and has been stood/washed alot i should give it all a check over again. Things might have seized. I'm assuming light off road driving doesn't help.

    Symptoms are the same for crank shaft angle sensor. Could be/could not be doesn't always show on a diagnostics though.

    Quick update. 300 miles later they are now much quieter on the road so must have worn in and all the new tassles??? have worn off only tried them for boat launching and they seem to have much more grip. so far well worth it

    Freelander's have drive to the front and rear wheels consistently and the vcu is there to help take away tranission wind up between the varying speeds of each wheel. Although you are right it also engages lock to the rear when the front slips. I wouldn't want to be removing the propshaft at...
