Yet more problems with my RR. After finding the DVD sat nav filling with water I took the rear inner plastic from the nearside rear pillar to discover water leaking down from a weld/joint near the ceiling liner. I have replaced the boot rubber, but made no difference. How is water getting...

Just to update this forum, the headlamp motor and washer were replaced which certainly helped, but the battery was CR@P. Bought a new Bosch one (5 year warrantee) and its been perfect ever since.

#saint.v8 thanks for clarifying that. I'll check the headlamp wiper washer motor first since the jets do not currently wash....then I'll check the heater fan resistor (somehow?) and HEVAC. Then its as you say, down to pulling fuses and seeing what's what.

thanks 1992lse, im familiar with that noise and its quite different to that. It's more of a booming base rumbling noise than a buzzing motorised vibration.

hI bemble, as you may have noticed I dont do many miles! The noise does appear to be evident whether in manual or automatic as far as I can tell. Everything else in your description seems to make sense though. It's a sound that is very difficult to describe. Its coming from the nearside...

Thanks Bemble for your indepth reply. I didnt get much chance to go on a long drive over the weekend, so its still not conclusive. The RR does need to warm up first, hence it takes a little while before it becomes noticeable. I think I could see the revs moving, but it was extremely difficult...

its not the sunroof thanks, the noise def feels like the rear, but low down. I will have a look at the seal, but not sure what I'd look for. It seems ok at first sight.

no roof rack, but that is a good call. Its not however, quite as noisy as roof rack noise can be. It sounds as if it is coming from the rear, underneath nearer the nearside rear wheel.

Looks like a kind eBayer may have provided the answer. The Autobiography came with Logic 7 not, DSP....so that explains all. Just need to sort out my odd sound problems now. cheers
