Not 100% as I'm doing a v8 conversion on my fender soon and trying to figure out gearboxes needed, but would have thought you would need a disco v8 clutch to fit disco r380 sure some one will be along soon to clarify thou

Gents if you hear of any manual v8 gearboxes for sale let us know need a box and flywheel if ya know of any going not silly money thou:D On another note well done for the rescue last night just shows why we never go out alone, good job.

Been doing a bit more reading and it seams that as long as you have a good base map the software can adjust itself for fuel and ign by data logging and then using algorithms to recalculate advance and fuel times, so that makes that alot easier, also they recon full seq isn't req with a standard...

Didn't come out to bad, but could have done with a soak in the parts washer first I think

With ya there mate the instal thread on lr4x4 is Long but a worthwhile read, have been thinking along the same lines as you and prob going to go full seq myself, the install doesn't look to difficult it's the programming of the fuel maps and ign map that I can't seam to get me head around, think...

Stuck the heads in the dishwasher today while the missus is at work:D, but just spent the afternoon cleaning the dishwasher before she gets home:eek:What a mess the dishwasher ended up in might have been easier cleaning the heads by hand

Not totally up to speed with mega squirt yet, but have been doing plenty of reading on it for when I fit my v8 in me fender,so far I would go with full megasquirt for the little extra cost over mega jolt, but since looking into it you can get different ecu's that can do part seq two inj banks...

When I changed the fuse box I switched everything on then removed each fuse to see what stopped working :eek: not the best way but worked.

MHM mines a F reg 2.5na doozel originaly, must admit though when I replaced the fuse box to blades not a lot seamed to match up, which I thought was because of the bodges the previous owner had done

Cheers guys started rebuilding the v8 ,and am on the look out for a fender v8 box, if not I may have to get a disco one and have it rebuilt to spec

Gents had some bad news today, the old boy that I bought a 90 for at the beginning of the year had it stollen last night off his drive, looks like its that time of year again, scumbags, so just a heads up to keep ya fenders locked up well and be on your guard.

managed to get everything stripped down today, lifters are well shot, quite a bit of wear on the bearings but the ckrank looks good, need to have a good clean up and measure, will get most bits in the dishwasher next week when the missus is at work;) some more pics...

Not sure about crank yet depends on condition, managed to get the timing cover off and chain was well stretched as expected,also took out no 1 piston and the shells don't look to bad but will see once I get it all apart, need to make more room in me shed as I didn't realise how many parts I'm...

Thought the slipped liner could also be detected by a pressure test with the heads off?
