    Cubby box / connector questions.

As above but to eleanorate further, the last pic is an Anderson connector in case you want to google it more specifically. Essentially, an extension of your battery (to plug in a fridge for example)

    De-oranged indicators- opinions wanted

One of the first things I did to mine (I've left the backs standard). Not sure why, but think it works better on my particular front end (ooooh errrr). Might be due to the colour, might just be in my head. But hey ho, each to their own :)

    Will door shims fix this?

Yep, all square (seemingly). The hinges are just that, no spacers or shims of any sort...

    Will door shims fix this?

Hi guys, These doors have never shut right (I know I know, it's a defender). I've buggered about with the striker plates and door rubbers but only just a bit better. Will door/hinge shims fix this or is a length of 4x2 needed to help? Ta

    Low biting point on clutch

Had similar recently but mines a defender td5. It was my clutch master cylinder that was the problem. Topping up with fluid helped for a bit but dropped to the floor eventually. 2 hours on Sunday and new cylinder in and new fluid in and bled. Somebody with more specific knowledge will be along...

What have you done to your Landie today.

After fitting a new starter motor last week and thinking that'll be it for a while, my clutch went a bit wiffy. Fitted a new master cylinder today. Would have done the slave too but don't think it's the problem and the thought of breaking that clip scares me. The slave can stay in its box...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Not all today, but in the last few days I've upgraded the headlights to a nice LED set with DRL (will probably keep those unplugged), replaced my aging worklight with a new baja design LED unit (and mounted betterererer), painted my light surrounds/grill and fitted a new starter motor Oooh, and...

Fob programming - what are the options?

Yep, my two cases have different models compared to what's on the PCB. Weird huh. Anyhoo, assuming the 10AS is a fairly standard unit and hasn't changed, you will be able to program it with a nanocom. Alternatively, when remotekey get back to you, they'll send a magic gizmo to plug in and by...

Fob programming - what are the options?

I bought a used fob off of eBay. I programmed that fob to work with my 'stock' alarm system (10AS) using a nanocom. It was literally a matter of minutes to program it. However, at first I bought the wrong plip (there are a few Lucas models), so make sure the one you buy is right. It's also a...

    What's a tie bar/rod...?!?

Ha, that's the obvious answer. But, it's currently a good few miles away in a lockup whilst it's off the road. Wanted to order the parts today. Never mind, it can wait... Cheers

    What's a tie bar/rod...?!?

I guess they could, but I haven't seen them face-to-face to ask. They dropped my car back whilst I was on holiday... I'm not familiar with the term so assume, like may things, land rovers have their own name for things or vice-versa. Hence asking the collective here... :)

    What's a tie bar/rod...?!?

Hi all, Please forgive my ignorance. I'm slowly working my way through the very long list of MOT failures and this one has got me... "...nearside front upper Tie bar/rod rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)...". Is this another name for track rods? Regardless...
