I think i understood you.... as the rpm will increase the tensioner will feel more changes in the tension per sec but we will not see this as it get "stable" somewhere at the everage?

So, when the engine is in low rpms the movment of the tensioner will be more pronounced?

Hi everyone, I just finished replacing the fan clutch bearing, belt tensioner and the radiator. I started the engine and watched for licks and strange things and see the tensioner jumps every few sec for about 1 cm, it didnt roll constantlly in the same spot . Is it nornal? I didnt see it...

Hi every one, I have disco 2 td5 2004. Lately i smell a smoke during driving. The smell is strong enough so the vehicle behind me seems to smell it too. When i walk around the car while it running i feel that the smoke is strongest near the engine. I have notice some smoke coming out of the...

strange thing..... i left the car over night an re-check the oil level. it looks o.k now... i don't know what to think perhaps i should change oil and check the level again. i did not smell any diesel but it does not meen anything as i am anosmic

so, after doing some reading i will try to sum it just to make sure i understood correctlly: first - check the smell of the oil, if it contain diesel i sould try replace the sealers and washers of the injectors. if this is not going to help, i should swich the key on without starting the engine...
