not necessarily, you will need to have OS maps, either 1:50 000 or 1:25 000 (1:25 00 is the better one as it has a lot more detail) or Memory Map. My bf and I are only just up the road if you fancy going out sometime, or keep an eye on either the Guildford Lanes thread or the Surrey Lanes...

if you've got Memory Map on your computer, there is an android app called MM tracker that's free which will put a Memory Map reader on your phone, but you do need to have the maps on a memory card for it to work
