if its just needing some welding, take it to yer local blacksmith, couple o bob later, and 90 mins to get the fecka back on, job done......

Actually a peterbuilt is a tractor unit, put a trailer on it THEN its a truck, then put a towing trailer behind that, THEN its a semi. So, whats wrong with your peterbuilt?

When you say "we " hummer doc, i geuss you mean the "royal we", as you aint doing the work yerself. This hideous creation is obviously in a body shop, nobody has that sort of stuff at home, forklift, car hoist, and how many car panels???? Typical big-headed american!

Look for the grot spots, Chassis, Footwells, Door frames, ect. look for bodges/bad repairs on the chassis - being able to weld or knowing a friend that can weld is a must! Bring a magnet to see if the rear cross member is made out of filler too! youll get addicted to landrovers!

Have you got brake pads with wear indicators?, could need some new pads? Also is your wheel camber/ toe-in set correctly?

same here Jamie, if they wont on when i got it i dont think i would have bought them!. also its just another thing to go wrong, the bearings have worn in mine, and now make a sceaming noise... which i should really make a new bush for.....ahwell

had a look on ebay for some series gearboxes? sorry cant advise on yer daihatsu tho...

602 - tried a new condenser? worked on mine, i thought it was to do with the advance, just a 5quid condenser stopping from running proppa at higher revs.

have you checked you fuel lines up to your pump?, if thats all clear, i suspect your pump, even if it is new it could still be dodgey. just use your noggin and it'll soon come clear whats wrong.

The jets in the weber carbs are set up for volks beetles apparently, as andyb66 says; are the jets correct?. i found this a problem here in NZ. I got a tiny wee drill set for drilling out carby jets...Good as now, but oxy acetaline nozzle cleaners should do an ok job?

Huddersfeild landrover center had a restored s1 tow truck there a couple of years ago... dont know if its sold now?
