    52" led light bar

Hi Dan, I fitted one identical to that one, although from a different seller. Like that one, it is advertised as 300W but when bench tested turns out to be 240W. It is still stupidly bright and will require some hefty cable and a high power relay (20A continuous) I used a 50A relay...

255/85-16 MTs ? not monster truck wide, but suitably tall, no lift required, well except when it comes to lifting the bonnet...

    Am I am being paranoid?

Had a few knocks at my door (pikeys) asking if it was for sale. Also a few asks when I have been covered in ****e working on it from people passing by. I took it as a compliment then upped the security a lot....

    Sucks in water

With the standard air intake on my TD5 I had very intermittent 'missing' whilst driving in heavy rain. Inspecting the air box revealed tide marks and water stains...I have now fitted a proper raised air intake and chucked away the original pipe work. You need to see the standard pipe work fit to...

    Nanocom temp reading.

Well finally got around to giving this a a good coat of looking at. LR manual says thermostat fully open at 96 C the temp i have been seeing on my Nanocom. But my ocd wouldn't let me be so I drained and flushed the system and replaced the water pump and thermostat with OEM new ones. I can now...

    Nanocom temp reading.

Hmmm, I did assume that as it is a pressurised system the hoses would get stiffer when the engine is hot. Its a 2003 and think has the steel dowls. No sign of contamination in the oil or water (not losing either) and has been like this for a few years so I'm hoping its not HG related. More...

    Nanocom temp reading.

Thanks for the responses, highest temp seen is 97ish, I have replaced the expansion cap a few years ago as it was leaking a little, leak tight now with no loss of coolant. Did a system flush and new OAT at the same time, hoses go stiff when engine is hot but not rock hard. I was wondering about...

    Nanocom temp reading.

The warning set point must be as the nanocom is delivered. Not sure I could find where to set it... It does go off at 96C which is not that much above the 90C thermostat temp. I am just surprised that the temp goes up that much in the mild UK temperatures. I suppose its possible that the...

    Nanocom temp reading.

Morning, I have noticed over the last few years that when towing or driving 'fast' when heavily loaded the temperature reading on my nanocom gradually climbs to the point where the screen goes red and warns me of imminent death and that. The temp guage on the dash remains in the middle...

    ABS and TC lights on

Mine was behaving much like yours was at 80,000 miles. Turned out to be one of the CVJs. Changed both (with Britpart, so far so good) and all now ok. Inspecting the old CVs having disassembled them and wear was evident, but not that great. My assumption was they were vibrating when off loaded...

What have you found in your landy?

two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-coloured uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and...

Run my TD5 with no fan through the winter. Its a bit quieter and maybe warms up slightly quicker. I would be paranoid about cooking the engine with out the fan in the summer....:o
