Just returned from the peak district towing the van without my viscous fan fitted. The temperature gauge read normal all the time. So if the rad is ok and the waterpump working fine , you dont need your viscous fan[ at this time of year] 300 tdi.

If you want to spend £40 on 8 litres of oil thats up to you. As far as Im concerned if it meets the spec required then its good enough. Isn't that Magnatec the stuff that clings to your engine parts [like a magnet]? :D

Go to nearest Renault dealer and ask for 20 ltr can motrio 10w40 semi synthetic acea A3/B4 £ 37.50 inc vat. :)

Just be aware that changing your auto box oil can cause gear change problems that wern't there before. This is because the new oil acts like a detergent and stirs all the silt and debris up which can then get stuck in the govnor valve.

I just cut the rot out with grinder ,painted the old floor and stuck the new floor on top of old. Job done. You have to treat these old things with the contempt they deserve :D

They had it in Morrisons last week. £5.00 for 5 litre bottles. Ktc brand made from soya. It was at the back of my store not with the other expensive oils. Morrisons own brand veg oil was £3.98 for 3 litres :eek:
