YRM do a lot of pre-formed parts just incase you didn't know. Always found they fit well and prices not too bad apart from postage costs. Can save you time bending n shaping bits. Good luck n mind the pics :)

Sound advice trax! Mines doesn't have good fine adjustment for thin stuff like footwells so can be a struggle

If you pull the wires don't make the same mistake I've made! Thought I was being a smarty as paid attention to Ed China off Wheelers. Put masking tape on wires as was disconnecting and marked them with matching numbers so when I get round to re-connecting I just match the numbers...

Great thread and all so familiar to mine as it's a 1986 model. Fitted new outrigger this weekend but moved from gasless to hobbygas welding and so far more happy to weld for me now. Did you manage to get paint on the chassis inside to outrigger? Not figured out how am goin to get paint into all...
