Hey Dunkan, can you tell me how many chassis bolts and the location to remove before removing the body from the chassis? cant see it anywhere in the workshop manuals nor the Haynes repair or rebuild manual. thanks

No, the last owner was a motor recovery conpany based in manchester. They obviously sprayed it white and striped it as it was origonaly gold

true, its got 130K on the clock, im just trying to get as much information as i can before i start to pull the engine apart. anyone any other tips before i pull it out?

im not too worried about the readings im gteting (going to do an entire engine rebuild) just want to see what information im getting. from the pic below im guessing the head gasket might be going/gone. but just want to see how good the rest is.

yep getting stuck in. bought an engine crane today and an engine stand. ripped out the interior yesterday. went from this.... to this the worst of the rot is on the side of the A pillars where the floor pans are.

looking to take the body off the chassis. anyone on here done a guide with pics?

nice, i wouldnt be mad on the interior either but can easily be changed if you feel the same. nice looking classic though and lots and lots of paper work. always a good sign it was well kept by an enthusiast.

this will only be a sunday driver, wont be rallying it or putting it in the muck. a very respectable driver with a nice bit of power is what im after. DONT JINX ME!! :pound: i think you'll also find that somewhere in the land rover by laws too...! oxy, american persuader and a griner will...

Fair play lads. just came out of work to get in to my 110 TD5 Crew cab and exactly the same issue that was raised above, no engine check light, no coil light and temp straight to max. came across this thread on my phone sitting in the vehicle and wiggled the fuses and the relays and disconnected...

also interested to know if this is sold.

engine parts seem in plentiful supply. high lift cam kit etc seem cheap enough so defo on the to do list

The 8k outlay, are you paying for labour included in that or is that just parts? if so whats the labour and parts coming in at?
