Will a Series 3 Clutch master Cylinder retro fit as a Brake master cylinder?

if you have drum brakes then the size of the reservoir is not important, with out a foot valve the trailing shoe will return and your pedal will go to the floor

there are lots of firm that will cut a prop, i have done it myself and its easy, better to have someone do it that can balance it

    freelander selectable 4+4

some iteresting ideas here, i think you would have to keep the viscus unit, an electric clutch would be just the job, cutting a prop is easy and cheep to have done, the other way or course is to use a dif unit with a locker, this would give the best of both worlds, a stock dif without crown...

    Egr Blanking Mod

I have just cleaned out my egr valve and blocked the vac pipe, it was not as bad as some i have seen on this page, it has made an improvement in low down power, and yes it seems to run a little cooler, warms up just as fast but not as far,

    diesel return pipe.

i supose you could use one pipe, but i think you will have probs, by returning the fuel to the tank you flush out any air and keep the fuel cool, you must also use the right way in and ot of the filter head to keep a pos presure on the pump, i am asuming you are fitting the series engine
  9. N

    diesel return pipe.

yes it does not make sence, but the return pipe always goes to the bottom of the tank, you would think that with positive presure it can not draw air but it does, you can also get ari in thugh the leak off pipes, these go to the top or the fiter

Will a Series 3 Clutch master Cylinder retro fit as a Brake master cylinder?

no it wont, it does not have a foot valve

    Basic Series Toolkit

there is no real need for a huge tool box, go to car boot sales and pick up spaners and sockits in 3/16 1/4 5/16 3/8 wit 3/8 7/16 1/2 9/16 5/8 3/4 15/16 af and your own metric you will need a hub box spaner, about £3.0 from part supliers

    Zenith 361v

best thin to do is to soak the thik in petrol the set it alight, when it goes out through it in the bin and buy a weber or su convertion

    Laycock overdrive.

the laycock overdrive will not fit any landrover, i think this confushion comes from the later landrover, this has a box mutch the same as a rover sd1 and some sherper vans, it was known as the lt77 i think and was derived from a pre war jag

    Valve guides

there is no way to change valve guides with the head on, you can check the guides, tack of the rocker cover and rockers, bring one piston to tdc the you can with a fair bit of messing about push down the inlet vave spring remove the cotters and then the spring, you can then wobble the valve...

    diesel return pipe.

be aware that the return pipe should go all the way to the bottom of the tank or you can get air in the fuel

    series 1 brakes/austin gipsy ?

No they will be totaly diferant, they will be the same as the j2/j4 van and perhaps the oxford

    Project Series 2A

I may be telling you something you allredy know but it is best if you replave the main rear gearbox bearing with a sealed one, this will stop oil going from the main box into the transfer box, this is the main cause of oil on the handbrake

there seems to be quite a convincing argument for removing the rear prop, i think more people would, but for the odd time when they go to a car boot sale or something in the wet, and suffer the indignaty of getting pushed out of the grass car park.
