    Colour Change

I painted mine using Rust-Oleum CombiColor, worked pretty well. It's cheap and can be applied with roller or brush. It's fairly popular with lots of guides/videos using it on campervans, minis , etc ..

    Rear crank seal 200tdi

Also, after fitting the seal don't start the engine for around 12 hrs. This allows the seal time to get back into shape after being stretched on the install tool. (I left mine for 24hrs as really didn't want to take it apart again).

    Brakes driving me mad

Also check the springs in the rear drums are correctly fitted. On mine the top spring was incorrectly attached to both shoes, when it should attached to front shoe and to the back plate.

    Brakes driving me mad

Have a look at the brake diagrams on lr workshop site. This should show you if you have the pipes correctly connected. https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-rover-defender-braking-systems/hoses-pipes

What's the most you paid for a land rover? ( or any car in fact!)

25k for a MK4 golf in 2003... it was/is an R32. Still got it, and slowly increasing in value but never want to sell it.

    Defender 200tdi rear seal queries

Also, after fitting rear crank seal you need to let it settle for a good few hours (maybe 12) before you start the engine. This is because when the seal is fitted it is stretched over the fitting guide and it needs time to return to its normal size.

    200tdi air intake

Personally I would fit a Southdown snorkel, much better as it avoids all the plastic ducting that's used behind a wing intake.

RX8 seats or other alternatives in 90 hard top

I've just fitted some rx8 seats into my hard top. I'm quite tall (6,3) and found that with the bulkhead the seats were too upright. (much like the original seats). So I fitted the mud bulkhead removal bar and that's sorted that issue. Another issue is because the rx8 seats raise your legs up a...

New Defender with issues that LR are at a loss why.

It's probably the first time this particular dealer has fitted a winch to the new defender. It would be great to see these fitting instructions to get an idea of how it went so badly wrong.

    New Defender

I think most new cars are on a lease/finance deal, after 3 years of ownership hand back and get another car on another deal. I don't know many people that can afford to purchase new cars outright nowadays, they're so expensive.
