welllll , i can always get as much of the sensor harness as i can then run it from where it enters the shell to the ecu !! making sure it dos'nt come into contact with any trapping points ? maybe from the rear wheel arch then under the front seats or along where the rear seat mounts then along...

Yes i know !!! thats why i'm trying to get as much info as poss !! think it will be easyer than trying to trace a break in a wraped harness !!!

DD the break is in the main harness ! i did the test above , also i know that the sensor is good as i have just replaced it and rechecked it when i found out about the wiring fault ! so instead of trying to find the break in the wiring i'll replace with another harness which i know to be good !

thanks for the info DD , i presume that as long as the connector for the sensor is the same i can splice the other ends into the harness near the multiplug ? do you happen to know where the sensor cable enters the cabin as i dont want to be ripping all the carpets out of it if i can help it !!

the ones i'v seen at the scrappy are both pre 2001 petrol models , and according to the bible ( haynes man !! lol ) they are all the same untill 2001 so Hi Ho Hi Ho to scappy i will go !! just got to suss out the routing of it !!

well i checked the wiring today and it looks like i'v got a broken wire in my sensor harness so i'v got some rewiring to do !! going to scrapyard tomorrow , they have some freelanders in and i'll rob the section of the harness that i need !!

had fault codes read today , and found out that i'v got a wiring prob on nsr sensor ! so i'v got to trace the wiring from the sensor to the ecu ! anybody know how this cable is routed through the car ? any help would be appreciated !! or if anybody is breaking one of these would it be possible...
