    Sprog's Rotten Discovery Project.

Missus asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Silly girl. Found this as an mot failure. Took it into the workshop to see how bad it was. Pretty bad, was the answer! Should have looked like this! After a week and a half of welding there were nice new sills in. Put her in for mot...

    Ayresys Workshop Thread :)

The front belt isn't too bad, just time consuming. The rear belt that runs the injection pump is a right laugh.

You had to do a cam belt change on one of them yet? Did my first one last week. Great fun.

    Newcomer already needing help

If the positive feeds that are bolted to the back of the starter are loose, you won't get any dash lights at all. Tighten the nut up (should be a 14/15mm nut). you shouldn't need to remove the down pipe to do this. The red/white wire is the switched live, if you think this is duff, crimp...

    Oops, I've Done It Again!

Dashboard back in. Whist I was there I noticed the plastic collar that holds the stalk bracket to the steering column was broken, so the whole lot was flopping about in the breeze. I ordered another one. To get it off, you have to remove the steering wheel. I undid the nut, and my mate Phil...

    Oops, I've Done It Again!

Nearly finished prepping. Template made And this came in to get running. It's actually a 205 with full cage and carbon fibre body. It got a 406 turbo engine in it.

    Oops, I've Done It Again!

To be honest I didn't realise how bad it was until I took the dash out. The previous owner had siliconed a metal patch over the hole!! It looks a pretty easy repair now it's all cleaned up. Photos tomorrow.

    Oops, I've Done It Again!

Then decided to attack the bulkhead. Stripped out the dash. (How many screws??) Then started looking at the rot. Ok, so it maybe more than a small patch! More tomorrow.

    Oops, I've Done It Again!

Right. So, I advertised it for sale on here, and it didn't sell so I decided to keep it. I bought a canopy for 30 quid off Facebook. I went to Sodbury sort out and got a whole drop arm for a tenner. I was dreading doing the drop arm. I read a bit about it on here, and realised it could be a...

    Oops, I've Done It Again!

Right. So I got it running and then the missus bought a horse lorry, so the 90 became redundant. I got it running with very little problem, and whacked it in for mot. It failed. On a drop arm ball joint, fog light and a patch of welding needed on the bulkhead near the brake servo. How she...

    WANTED. V8 Engine.

I would like to convert my 90 to a V8, so I need an engine. Would prefer carbed, but an efi one would be fine with the ecu's. Condition un-important.
