Regards your flasher relay, I replaced mine with electronic ones instead of the metallic strip ones...got fed up of chasing dodgy earths and stuff....it's a 3 pin instead of 2 pin but just needs an earth connecting....came from ebay for about 2 quid

I have a set of injectors out of a 1982 109, engine did smoke but I don't think it was down to the injectors! Was going to dump them so theyre yours for whatever postage works out to be + a pint

If you're changing from petrol to diesel is when it starts getting messy I think...change of cc's sometimes can...just a change of engine number won't need a thing

Voltage regulator does the fuel gauge as well so you would expect issues with both, I would test the sender with the boiling water check as above. Could be a faulty new sender

Did you use ptfe tape when putting the new one in?

That won't work too well for a clock....

I started taking them out and the back ones split so gave up, I know one of the front ones is fine but didn't have a go on the other side - next time I'll be there is wednesday :)
