    timing cover seems to be in good shape (but lot of work to clean it) as the timing chain that is not slacken.

    At this point, I'm having a hard time judging how long it would take me to replace the shaft, the tappets (with preload adjustment), and the fine points (the bull**** to avoid) at negotiate well to do a clean job. I don't want to ruin all the work I've done so far :(
