You won't go wrong with maer I fitted one to a 90 200 tdi last year and everything went perfect (same can't be said for the shielded chassis I fitted previously) ordered a 110 TD5 and they send a chassis with TD5 engine mounts but brackets for a steel fuel tank ,a major ball ache ! Expecting...

Sensors cheap and easy to change but after that it could be a bad earth Gauge on my 300 tdi defender goes close to the red when I put headlights on !

You won't find a fourtrak that's not rotten , landcruisers and shotguns at that age aren't much better than a landrover but the parts will cost far more What problems have you had with the V8 ?

D3 diesels aren't cheap to run and p38 diesels aren't that much quicker than a 300 tdi disco As has been said no old landy will be cheap to run ,personally if its rust free I'd stick with the old V8 disco 1

I can try changing the seal ,I always assumed they leak there as the shaft is pitted / scored (I also assume that's why the last rebuilt box I bought leaked) Worth a shot as the seal is cheap

The steering box on my defender is leaking Can anyone e recommend a reputable company that will sell me me properly rebuilt unit I replaced the box on my lightweight coiler a few years ago with a rebuilt unit off ebay and it leaked within a month! Thanks

Fuel tanks are also different ,td5 had a plastic tank and an electric fuel pump, tdi has steel tank

Personally il be opting out but if you do nothing bauer media still gets payed !

A few years ago I rubbed down treated with fermanagh, primer and gloss black the axles on my 90 Several years later they are looking scabby again What would be best to use this time ? Stone chip ,waxoil ,dynatril or are there better harder Paints available now?

One of the easiest things to do is to swap the plastic bits that direct the air to your feet so they direct air up towards you It does help but in my case it's like warm air!

I live in hope of making the heater better !

Thanks for the replys a £250 matrix isn't realy an option atm ,il try flushing the existing one I saw online someone has fitted a passat matrix which is 25 percent bigger but had to chop and weld the heater box
