I was in Northern Norway last year with work near tromso and we drove 110's, the best bit of kit on them was studded tyres they make a notable difference.

I messaged him about that, he said he sold the camper separate for 8.5k!

The disco 200tdi has the turbo positioned lower down than the defender 200tdi. It's a very noticeable difference so as a result the intercooler pipes would be in different places. Why don't you just take the intercooler pipe off to replace the belts then put it back on once you're done?

Excellent thanks for your reply, I think I may need longer runners as my drawers are looking at being 110cm long at the moment but I may change that depending on how feasible it's going to be. You can see where my drawers are going to go. But still working out the best length for them...

Once that engine gets a little bit hot offroad it just ****s itself and loses power. Trust me I've just swapped mine out for a 200tdi disco lump and the difference is unbelievable

Whats the mileage on the engine? Any major work on the engine undertaken recently? What size are the tyres? And whats the tread depth?

I do believe I've heard that the bottom ends are the same although I cannot be 100% on that, James Martin would be the best person to answer that I reckons.

Blue smoke on start up could also be valve stem seals. Try accelerating and look for blue smoke once you take your foot off the accelerator that's usually another indication it's the valve stem seals. As for the tinkling noise I'm not sure I can help.
