Recently I designed (squiggled on a bit of paper) and fabricated my own straight through exhaust system with side exit for my 110. I was quite surprised that there wasn't any off the shelf kits for this, I thought there would be. Creating the exhaust was quite simple, I was a welder by trade...

It's worth having a strong, decent length recovery rope with a shackle on the end fitted to the front and rear recovery points ready before you dive in. It will make it easier when (not if) you get stuck, and allow you to help others quite easily too. The front one can come up over the bonnet...

If I can swap my Saturday at work, I may be able to stick my name down too. The Norton Juxta (Twycross) lane is one of my local favourites. I went down it the other day and it's quite boggy now. No TRO though, as far as I'm aware.

As entertaining as it was, I dare say more driving and less recovery would result from a more seasonal visit. Lets face it, it took us damn near 2 hours to clear that last section. :eek:

Absolutely awesome day out, loved every bit of it. Good to put faces to names etc. :) Definitely need to fit that lift and the 35" tires I have though, and remove that damn tow bar for a receiver hitch. Gave most things a good go mind! Was happy with the TD5's grunt after the engine work, just...

Make sure your recovery points are good, and bring some recovery equipment with you if you have some. Make sure you have plenty of screenwash, and some water and a sponge to clean off the lights, windows, mirrors and plates would be advisable for the journey back. Oh, and wellies may be needed :D

The old belt looks a bit past it, so I'm quietly hoping a new one will cure it. Failing that it's ear plugs, because it's much worse when wet. And I have a feeling wet is one thing it will definitely get on Sunday.
