Change the filter and fill it with Forte Diesel Treatment. Only have half a tank max of derv and run it into the red. Then use Millers every tank after that. I did the above with my N/A and it worked wonders. I have also been running Millers for the last 70k in my Merc CDI, cold starts...

have you looked at the Wera laser tip screwdrivers...they prevent cam out. I've got a set and they are pretty good. >> CLICKY <<

I was thinking of lining the back of mine when I get time. I will probably use that resin covered ply which they use on trailer floors etc. Then do the external and internal angles with alli angle. I'd go with 18mm.

I've heard of the dishwasher tablet or adding washing powder to clean the oil out due to cross contamination after a HG failure. In this instance it would be better than coke. Coke is very acidic so would IMO be better at attacking the possible blockage / sludge in the rad. I need to give...

I've heard of the old coke trick for clearing blocked heater matrix's.

Definitely worth giving it a flush and back flush including block and heater matrix. Then put some rad flush in run it for a bit then repeat the flush. May save you a new rad, but if not at least the rest of your cooling system is clean ready for the new one.
