Stripped the Fuel injection pump today to find out why the bad running, Not good news inside was the Land Rover curse and this bits GERMAN :eek:. Anyway bin Quoted min £450 for a rebuild, so I have sorted a good one from a Disco that's a runner.

Its not difficult to spray, its like bankz says read the instructions and spray on like Shultz. for what you are doing you can do outside on a warm dry day with little wind, then rig a polythene cover/tent up to keep dry until its cured

Disco 4's suffer from cracked inlet manifolds, not heard about cranks

Mine was sprayed, has a stippled look but is not sharp like sandpaper.

I have a soda blaster if you want to buy it ! cost me just over £100 yours for £50. used it on my transfer and gearbox. its like new but obviously covered in baking soda dust.

I've got it in the back of my tub on the project, its thick and strong.
