    Are tubular shock turrets sided?

Forgot to mention, if that's a Marsland chassis and you're lifting the suspension 2" it might be worth fitting dislocation cones on the front too, my HD +2" springs were always ending up unseated so I had to fit cones, my mates 90 is on a Richards chassis and his reseat OK so he got away without...

    Off-Road GPS....

I use memory map on a nexus tablet on one of those screen clamp thingys, my eyes are not that good and I find driving round with reading glasses on the bridge of my nose a bit of a pita, will be upgrading to something bigger one day. Another point, if you buy memory map don't get the HD version...

Some assumptions - am i being reasonable?

My 300tdi 90 had a galv chassis, full nut n bolt rebuild & panel spray, nice motor, cost £7k, in the last yr I've spent another £1.5K on it My mate's 200tdi conv 90 had a galv chassis, rebuilt by bodget & scarper, cost £4.5k, in the last yr he's spent another £4k, and many hours on it. You...

    Cleaning up tools...

I found an old adjustable spanner loafing under the bench, surface rusted n seized up solid, left it in a pot of diesel for a week and it came up lovely with hardly any effort.

Newbie to off roading few questions

A steering guard would be good, or heavy duty steering bars, or both. Even if you don't plan on deep water, a wading kit would help prevent water getting in your axles if you got axle deep in mud, and wading plugs in the bell housing and timing case might be a good idea too (and cheap)...

I didn't read any bumph, the 90 came with drilled n grooved disks, I thought it was supposed to help in the mud, I have no idea if they actually do. I bought the cheap pads from ECP as I just happened to be outside when mine got down to the metal, I'd do it again rather than have to buy new...

    Payout

Really difficult to say. On the face of it, it sounds OK, but could you replace it for that price? I doubt you could rebuild a (almost?) tax exempt 1974 on a galv chassis for that if you were paying for the vehicle, and someone else to do the work. Get a quote from one of the restoration...

look on an OS map, or the county definitive map. It's marked as a restricted byway (not for use by a mechanically propelled vehicle)

I got a set of rear brake pads from ECP for me 90 as they just happened to get down to the metal as I passed, lasted all of 300 mile  now I do have drilled and grooved disks on the back, and get a bit muddly now n again, but still, 300 mile is pants, the replacements have done 700 so...
