The exhaust manifold on my 200tdi is leaking gas where the joints for cylinders 1 and 4 join the rest of the manifold. It makes things very restful on the M11, as the car slowly fils with CO gas. Can it be repaired, i.e. filled and wrapped up, or is the only safe way to replace it?

Is there any reason why a twin battery setup should not have the two batteries permanently linked? My set-up has a button switch to connect the two, but due to a stroke of genius on someone else's part the radio only works if the two batteries are linked. Hardly a major trauma to flick the...

Yeah, I have these holes on both sides under the pillars. Not outside the bounds of possibility that I have rusty holes on both sides, hard to know what was there when the car was built and what has 'evolved' over the last twenty years and 170,000 miles.
