I have had to replace the horn on my 1992 110. I can't find a single terminal horn, and the twin terminal one I have got is pretty useless. So, two questions.

How should I wire in a twin terminal horn, when I only have one wire to plug in?

Is there anything special that needs to be done for an air horn?

I am assuming that the previous horn earthed it's self through the bolt that held it to the metal bracket that held it in place. The usual way of dealing with this is to make up a small wire with crimp connectors that pushes onto the spade terminal you have and on the other end has a loop connector that goes to the mounting bolt point or some other part of the vehicle, thereby earthing the horn.
I would suggest buying a kit such as https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/480pc-In...184499?hash=item1c874efaf3:g:OsUAAOSww9xZMSdr and the tool to do the crimping https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROLSON-W...040727&hash=item1a3923cd16:g:wMIAAOSwSQFZ~EOQ
You will find many uses for a kit like this on a defender.

If you prefer pics something like this:

Do you mean a proper air horn running off a compressor and a tank or one of the smaller combined unit "air-horns" which are only slightly larger than the standard horn similar to the nautilus?
If you are referring to one of these I have one fitted and the are hugely overrated, not really any better than a standard hella horn. I have wired mine into a relay supplied direct from the battery, and switched by the original horn feed.
To fit a proper air horn set up is far more complicated.

Many moons ago when I was trialing my tatty series 3 I got my hands on a set of two tone horns of the type used by the emergency services and fitted them to the Landy.;)
At the next event I set them off while still out of sight, then as I crested a hill puzzled club members fell about with laughter at the sight while one or two disappeared into the undergrowth.:):):)

I want to see a series with a truck/train horn on it.
