    have just had the 4 changed, so understand the cost involved. what would you call on a regular basis, 3 months? unfortunately most of my driving is to work (7 miles) with a longer run once maybe twice a week! ???

    The dealer should have the "New Keeper Supplement" from the old log book V5, which, if filled in with your details, can be used to tax your vehicle regardless of registration along with MOT and Insurance Docs:)

    thanks for the thought, but its the alarm ECU thats gone wrong, the problem at the moment is getting Land Rover to supply one, into the 5th week now:(
