check inside the amp connections - sometimes one or more of the pins have snapped or some corrosion can get on the pins adn block the flow. A simple wire brush clean adn you're good!

Bob, have had 2 FFRRs over the last 4 years and had no major dramas with either. The 3.6 TD is a lovely engine although they are sometimes prone to probs (check fullfatrr.com for details) but haven't heard of any major dramas. They are untouchable for long distances. I have driven for 11 hours...

TBH if your car is now out of warranty, I would find a good indie RR/LR specialist instead of a stealer. Dealer FSH is meaningless except for those old school who also believe that a low mileage car is going to be in better mechanical condition than a higher mileage one that's just done motorway...

HI Taxi man, I have had a 150,000 mile 2004 4.4 BMW V8 on lpg (STAG system) for over 2 years and its been faultless. cost is 22-25p per mile (same as TD6 or equivalent to 27/8 MPG). Only extra cost is LPG svce at £100 per year. the JAg engine is better as petrol only and not good for LPG...

Think rattle on start up is a well-known feature of the V8 petrol and nothing to worry about. It is the tappets before the oil get to them I think (Saint V8 put me right?) My 4.4 V8 gets Triple R or Fuchs 5W40 fully synth. (Triple R part no. was XGF 050 - £25 for 5 Ltr: Fuchs £32 for 8 Ltrs)

I got mine changed by a BMW technician. see if a BMW garage or a BMW expert can do it. The hardest part on mine was getting the nut off the front of the radiator. Oh, and the pump was £70 adn the fitting £90.

Steve, what model is yours? look at the connectors in the rear. I have a spare one which I bought but was the wrong model for mine and the seller wouldn't take it back. I'll try adn find a picture for you. you can have it at cost.

And it's only the passenger side that tilts i think ??? (could be wrong but that;s on mine anyway)
