    What screws fit around/under the steering column.....

    Yes the brass inserts seem to be either falling out or grabbing the screw and not allowing it to turn almost cross threading but not :/ I've got 3 out of the 4 long cowl screws that go in the brass inserts but there not having it, do drop some loctite in the plastic hole where the brass inserts...

    I would just like to say

    Now sipping kenmore whisky and ginger ale after a weekend of Defender "Do a simple job but cause a 3 hour catastrophe" :) most notably trying to fit the steering cowl back together then somehow moving the full brass indicator unit and the steering column coming loose! But now all is well :)...

    All my pedal pads are pretty worn, so I ordered a new set from britpart which have arrived today and just look like plastic squares basically??? The accelerator arm is just the piece of metal, is there supposed to be something that wraps round the metal accelerator arm to fit a plastic pedal pad...

    What screws fit around/under the steering column.....

    All the clips have broken on one side of the binnacle so Im gonna get the metal raptor housing and binnacle. Its just under where the stalks are and the ignition couple of missing screws.

    Not sure yet seen lots of threads, seen the self spray ones and also the Dina something that you can paint on? Im not sure what would be best - painting will take longer but can get into all the nooks and crannys. Gonna do a bit of research on this one I think.

    Took her to the local garage to give her a good jet washing, cleaned all the crud off underneath and got back - guess what... no leaks as yet? It did have a minor oil leak on the last MOT which was fixed and also a power steering pump leak (new pump fitted nov 2020) so could possibly be old oil...
