It's not been the most constructive day today. I didn't get much done apart from make myself tired :( I tried to weigh the lathe but I can't get the crane near it now. I have ordered a chain hoist and will build a gantry tomorrow so when it gets here I can do a straight lift to see what it weighs fully assembled. I did manage to weigh the arbour press :)

.....that I am pleased to have the lights fitted in the Mini-barn at last.
Dimmable LED ceiling lights, the air-stirrer fan (with light) re fitted and the external LED up/down lighters also all live & working.
Although it was "owed time" from the job I slipped Tom an extra £50 and fed him a slap-up Sunday brunch for doing all the work.

Now sipping kenmore whisky and ginger ale after a weekend of Defender "Do a simple job but cause a 3 hour catastrophe" :) most notably trying to fit the steering cowl back together then somehow moving the full brass indicator unit and the steering column coming loose! But now all is well :)
Waiting for more fleabay bits to arrive next week.
Hope everyones had a good one.

@Stanleysteamer ....did your spanners ever turn up?
Yep Friday as expected. But I am waiting until 6 important journeys are over before playing with the prop again.
Out and back to the Canal du Midi for out anniversary dinner tomoz lunchtime.
then the following day the youngest dog goes to the vets to have her lady bitz removed. so two return journeys there.
After that I will have a bit of elbow room in which to take said front prop off and give it a severe lookin at!:):):)

HEY, ANOTHER HULLITE
Hiya matey!!!:):):):):)

Good Eve Sir!
Another Hullenesian :)
Where about are you from?
I was born on Westbourne Ave but my parents moved to Victoria Ave soon after. So I lived there from 1955 to 1963. Went to the French Convent as a primary school. (Long since defunct) Cave Street. Grand parents lived in Falmouth Street and Tennyson Ave and my great grandfather opened one of the first garages in Hull. And he had a Stanley Steamer, hence my handle!
We all left in 63 but my brother moved back about 40 years ago and has lived there ever since.

It is almost dark outside now and so I took this shot of my little mini-barn with all its lights working.
I am dead chuffed at how it has all turned out. Herself is pleased. You never know it might be sufficient brownie points for a leg-over Ha! Ha! ;)

Ah fantastic I know them well we have a couple of buildings down Westbourne (the old ymca building and a block on Victoria Ave and Salisbury Street!
I walk down Falmouth Street every other day, just off Cottingham Road near the Uni , the yellow brick houses :)
I imagine it pretty much looks the same as when you let saw it, just a few new double glazed windows and doors lol
