The car i'm thinking of, the owner had lost the keys so the cost of new keys / locks etc would cost more than the car was worth. The car has now been re-locked and VIC checked, but the owner wants roughly the same price as a non cat car.

Been looking at buying a disco and have noticed that a couple of cars are starting to come as Cat C (insurance write offs) How do these effect pricing / insurance. Would you buy a cat C car?
