Anyone know what the thread type is on the screws that fix the clutch master cylinder cover plate? M5 looks a tad to big Mine is a 1985 also. Don't know if the threads vary on the older/newer models?

Sorted it! Pulled the motor apart and found the slot in park ramp on the underside of the drive gear. Prized it of and slotted it in on the opposite side . Re-position the wiper arms and all good now Cheers!

Ohh well, I assumed these were made to be a better design. The 10 year old defender my dad has still has smooth opening.

Mech works with door open and fine from outer handle. There’s just a hell of a lot of resistance in the mech joints as far as I ca see. The handle will work if you really pull hard, just feels like something will give eventually.
