I think the 1 for the EDC is above/around the injector pump and the 1 furthest is temp guage if that helps..

+1 ant I spoke to island4x4 when I purchased my RF and they said they had only ever had 2 units returned from the same customer off here? Both where checked and found to be NOT faulty..it was another problem the customer had! I've found there service spot on..

Now i just happened to be looking at a few posts yesterday on engine swaps and from what i gather the electronics in the top of the bmw and RR fip are different? i dont know wether you can just swap the electronics without callibration? or if its easier to swap pumps? but then it needs timing...

It's best to fork out the cash and buy the real deal and be done with it! The old RF receivers not only flattened battery but they where also known for burning your door locks out! Now that is 1 road I didn't want to go down,yes they are expensive but worth the investment IMO ....

Just go for it and open it! You got a working keyfob? And EKA code? And a battery charger? If it won't turn off stick some snow in it :)

yes! have a read of your manual ;) but as already said you might not need it, if keyfob is ok. dont leave ya key in car when you get in and pop bonnet to charge battery as i did this and it locked the doors lol i do have a spare though...eka code is just handy to have just incase!

I think you can jack it up and put a live to the starter and find a good ground. This will/should allow you to get some charge back in... I remember reading a post like this recently. Do you have the EKA code?
