    Itermittent lumpy TD4

It surely can't be all four of them at the same time. The price of a single injector in Jan this year I paid £200 for one (no exchange). I couldn't have exchanged it anyway 'cos I destroyed it when I was removing it. Try dosing it up with injector cleaner again. Allan

    Rave for 03-06 'Facelift' Freelander?

Good question John. I have recently changed to a "facelift" from a Mk1 and the number of differences is great so I also would be interested in a source of information. Allan

    TD4 Running on.

Later on the day I posted the query I had set off on my way home from work but stopped at a shop after about a mile. When I came to set off again the FL wouldn't start (it would turn over but was making no sign of firing up just like camshaft sensor failure) and after several attempts I was just...

    TD4 Running on.

I have noticed my 2005 TD4 has started to run on for a few seconds after turning off. It has only done it since the weather turned colder earlier this week which could be coincidence. Any ideas as to the cause gratefully accepted. Allan

    Itermittent lumpy TD4

But it doesn't have to be connected. Many people have disconnected it and plugged it to disable the EGR valve. Allan

    td4 engine trouble part 3

Well there certainly weren't any piezo electric crystals in the injector I destroyed when I had to change one earlier this year. It can be seen from the diagram shown in RAVE System and Operation page 19-1-7 that the TD4 injector is operated by a simple solenoid valve. Allan

    Itermittent lumpy TD4

If it's lumpy at idle try pulling the injector connectors in turn to see if it is one injector in particular. Allan

    3 door rear shelf options.

I've made a parcel shelf for the rear of my 3 door which is covered with black needlecord carpet. This fits under the roof handles and against the seat back. I am going to attach something (maybe bungee cords or straps) to the underside and fasten them to the hooks in the side panels which will...

    Rear door wont open

There are a few possibilities here. The door won't release the catch unless the window is lowered. A window cable may have broken or the solenoid in the door handle may have ceased to function. Try to carefully open the door by raising the lip along the top of the door to release the glass. If...

Is anyone out there happy with their FL ??

It does seem to be the case that a lot of folk who don't own or haven't experience of FLs are all too willing to come on here and tell the rest of us what a fine example of a Land Rover they have and we are the ones that made the mistake. I'm on my second Freelander and having just returned from...

    Newbie needs TD4 clutch help!

I think you will shortly be experiencing master cylinder failure as this sounds like the seals starting to go. There probably won't be any fluid loss as it is just leaking past the seals. The cylinder is easy to change and is around £105 if you look around. The cylinder has a bayonet type...

    rear seats?

If you undo the torx screws in the rear floor and the heel board the seats should lift out. The others are just locators. Allan

    Tailgate window

The trouble is if the CCU thinks the window is up to allow the screen and wiper to work then it won't think it's down to allow the door to unlatch. Don't think the rear wiper is MOTable. Allan

    Back Window Problem

Relatively easy. Trim off then just nuts and bolts. Everything is adjustable so you can position the glass. Take care with the heated screen wires. Easier with two people when handling the glass. Allan PS Check it's not just a cable broke if it is use bike cable or similar to replace for...

    Switch on clutch pedal

2001 TD4 Manual. Any of you knowledgeable people able to tell me what the switch is for that is operated by the clutch pedal ? I've just changed the clutch master cylinder and dislodged this switch during fitting. I pushed it back up but don't know where it is supposed to locate. Thanks for your...
