Well there certainly weren't any piezo electric crystals in the injector I destroyed when I had to change one earlier this year. It can be seen from the diagram shown in RAVE System and Operation page 19-1-7 that the TD4 injector is operated by a simple solenoid valve. Allan

If it's lumpy at idle try pulling the injector connectors in turn to see if it is one injector in particular. Allan
