Not starting after un-seizing boost pin, please help

This in the photo above is the throttle linkage on my Injection Pump looking at this last image you uploaded. Mine looks like a stripped down pump And this picture above is the one I've bought, this pump (photo 2) is identical to the one on my Defender, its a 200tdi pump on a 300tdi engine...

Not starting after un-seizing boost pin, please help

That does make sense, and I presume that the gov pin lever goes on the same side as the blue arrow. So when the throttle is pressed the gov pin slides on this lever marked in blue on your photo.

Not starting after un-seizing boost pin, please help

I believe that because my Defender is the early 300tdi (it's a 1994 300tdi) it doesn't have an egr valve either ( a 200tdi injection pump looks exactly the same as mine), only external control cables it does have is the standard go faster cable (throttle cable) to throttle linkage and a choke...

Another question. The lever in the top cover that moves the guide pin against the boost pin, looking at the above photo there is a cutout in the box section, does the guide pin leaver (inside the top cover) fit in this cutout in the inside of the box section.

Not starting after un-seizing boost pin, please help

Hi all, been out today and set the throttle shaft to just before 12 o clock if the front of the vehicle is 12, also took off the top cover again just to make sure the spring shaft was correct, I'm no mechanic and since the pump is fitted to the vehicle I can only presume it is. When pushing the...

Not starting after un-seizing boost pin, please help

Neilly, no the pump was installed in the vehicle, lol any more than 5 components I'd be lost, I would probably end up with 6 components left over after rebuild if I did that. And you were bored.

Neilly, thank you I'll have to do that tomorrow weather permitting, I've just done a few checks, loosened fuel filter bleed screw and the fuel injection pump fuel inlet Union and kicked over the engine and fuel exits both areas fuel filter and fip fuel inlet, also stop solenoid works with...

Not starting after un-seizing boost pin, please help

As for lengths of fuel screw, idle screw and throttle slot position, I did take photos of all three prior to removing, however, the photos were saved to my sd-card which appears that the last handful of photos are corrupted including these 3. Which sucks. One thing I can remember prior to...

Not starting after un-seizing boost pin, please help

Thanks Mick, from what I can see the fuel is getting to the fuel filter as it starts out on depression of the fuel lift lever. The slot on the throttle spindle is at the 8 o Clock position if the front of the vehicle is at 12.

Hi all, wonder if I can get some help. Been having problems with my turbo, after a few investigations I found that the governor pin in the Injector pump top cover was seized solid. I tried releasing the governor pin by removing the diaphragm and squirting brake and clutch cleaner in the space...

Rear Diff pinion bearing replacement help

Scooby22, is the crush spacer likely to be damaged under normal driving conditions?, in the past I've not taken the bolt off or attempted to tighten it, also am I correct in thinking that if the bearings were shot there would be an audible warning (rumbling) whilst the propshaft is spinning. I had the A frame ball joint replaced just last week as I thought the noise was that, after changing, the noise isn't as bad as it was, the mechanic who changed it also noticed the banging was still there once the ball joint was fitted, he put the landy over a pit and showed me the play in the...
