Help needed
On most sites they show same part number right upto 2003 but on Paddocks;
-1A999999 (TOQ000040) £17.95+ vat
2A000001- (TOQ000060) £58 + Vat
Whats the difference ?

The ring is probabley the driveshaft oil seal, about the size of a coffee mug, If no damage to IRD then its about 3/4hr work and cost of a seal
Brakes, not sure, needs striping to have a look at
U need to look for a live going to earth
Check the connection to the screen to make sure its not touching the bodywork/framework of car, then as said check yer live feed wire from fuse to screen, somewhere along there its possibly trapped
Are you sure its not the wiring loom to injectors, This has been reported a few times and injectors replaced when it was just the loom
I think they are about £35, do a search on injector wiring loom
wont stop it turning over
Check fuses and also check the cranking live wire is still connected to the starter motor
If you know what you are doing get someone to crank engine with a test light connected to cranking wire
If its live your starter isnt
The bearings are for a noise and can be easily replaced as a full carrier for the VCU
The VCU itself cannot be repaired and if left can cause catastrophic effects on IRD and rear diff.
Thers a few tests if ya do a search to test the VCU
If in doubt replace it

Try disconnecting maf near brake reservoir under air filter housing, If better fit a roveron unit, cheaper than replacing maf
