    Non-sport springs on a sport...

I measured from the floor up to the wheel arch and I have gained approx inch and a half in height with these tyres compared to when I had the 18s on with road tyres. I love the look of it now, just have to get used to the noise of them! Sounds like all four wheel bearings are shot!

    Non-sport springs on a sport...

Hi mate, fitted the wheels properly today at work, all clear on lock-to-lock and not heard any rubbing or catching so far. They are noisy though! No need for spacers with the ET35 offset on the modulars. Just a lift to do now and it will be ready for some action. Looks the part now though...

    Non-sport springs on a sport...

Thanks for all your advice, I went for the 235/70s in the end. I have trial fitted them and they look great. I have been reading that I may need different wheel. It's for the steel wheels, is this true and if so where do you get these from? Is it just a search on eBay or are there recommended...

    Non-sport springs on a sport...

Thanks again for your reply, I'm going to order the 235/70s I think then, is this the same as you had? We're your modulars ET35 offset? When you say trim a bit off the front and rear edges of the arches, do you mean the inner arch liners or the actual outer plastic trims around the arch on the...

    Advice...

Thanks for the advice, I might just go along and have a look and see what it's like, if they have bits around that I think I could cope with then I'll have a go. Hopefully with a lift kit and a few other bits and pieces it will be able to hold its own to a degree. I know it ain't no Defender but...

    Advice...

Hi, I have been told of a pay and play next weekend at Avon Dassett quarry near Banbury. I suppose some people know of it or may have been along. What I want to know is, how would I get on in my pretty standard Td4? I have modulars and mud tyres but no lift kit as yet, will it be too much for...

    Greenlaning Freelanders...

Hi, Does anybody still go green laning these days? I have a standard TD4 Freelander 1 with some modulars and mud terrain tyres but have still not taken it anywhere off road. Now I'm not looking for anything serious just yet, but just some nice easy lanes with some good like-minded Freelander...

    Non-sport springs on a sport...

Thanks for the advice mate, sorry to change the question but i know you have already fitted modulars to your truck. I have the same ones, 16x7 ET35, will the 235/70 tyres fit under my arches without a lift and spacers or will I need to lift it first. Just deciding which way round to do things...

    Non-sport springs on a sport...

Do you think it's worth changing them or would you keep the shorter and stiffer shocks and springs and just fit a lift kit? I've heard people say that the handling and ride is a lot better on the stiffer suspension at the sacrifice of the lift? I have bought some 16x7" modulars ready for off...

    Non-sport springs on a sport...

Hi,just looking for a quick bit of advice, if I have a Freelander sport which I believe was lower by 30-40mm from factory, and I got non-sport springs, will this raise my truck by this amount, or is it not really worth it? Just thinking if I fit these springs with a 2" lift kit and 235/75R16...

Hi mate, I know you get asked so many questions but do you have any more pics of the modulars on...

Hi mate, I know you get asked so many questions but do you have any more pics of the modulars on your car, I have some of the same ones but want to know if they would look better spaced out a bit? I know you had some 30mm spacers fitted with the modulars at one point but was it undrive-able...

Sport wheels or modular wheels? Decisions...

Thanks for the replys guys, think I'm going to stick with the 18s for everyday and use the modulars with mud tyres for playtime! I might stick me some spacers on there to make it look a bit wider though, like the 18s but they look a bit tucked away in the arches for me...

Sport wheels or modular wheels? Decisions...

Can't decide if I prefer the standard 18" sport alloys with road tyres or modular wheels with A/T tyres as my all day, everyday look. I'm not bothered about road noise, it's more about looks really. The 18s look good but will it look harder on some big A/Ts? I already have the modular wheels...

    sloppy gear stick

Mine is the same on my TD4, not sure if it's the linkage bushes. I'm going to get mine up on the ramp at work and have a look so I'll let you know what I find...

    Best sites still open?

Are there many good sites still open out there, been to Silverdale but you tend to get quite a few idiots at these days, always prefer Land Rover only days. Any recommendations? Cheers Lee

    The new kid...

Hi, Been umming and ahhing about getting myself a Freelander for a while and finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago and bought me a nice little gem of a 2004 TD4 facelift. Looking to go off-road and a bit of laning when it's ready for it. Went to a club event on Saturday in Telford, was a good...
