No..when putting my foot down or on kickdown.. so under load.. just cruising at 40 or 50 no noise. So when i pull away gently it is fine.. when i pull away harder and give it some.. it protests and whines.

It is reddish brown and as i didnt had this truck for long..i suspect the filter might be clogged or the oil is on the end of its life.. The box only starts making noise after 5 to 10 miles when the box is warm... i mean, it engages in all gears.. like reverse,drive 3, 2 ,1 .. just under load it...

I did check the oil, it is topped up nicely but the oil is a bit..dirty.. so new oil and filters and go from there i guess...

I noticed my gearbox starts whining while driving and becomes really loud screaching when kickdown to lower gear.. engine revs higher and no speed.. Changes into all the gears but the changes are harsher now too, and it becomes worse when the autobox is hot. Engages drive well.. might be time...

It is a Romano system.. was looking for installers/service in my area.

I am happy to run it on petrol... one minor problem is... because of the underslung LPG tank... the petrol tank is the size of a shoebox...:rolleyes:

Now.. i didn't have my D2 for very long and was always a bit slow on LPG.. while on petrol considering the D2 weighs about the same as the moon... its lively and above 3000, 3500 rpm it scares me as it takes off like a rocket! Now a few day ago when it was really hot.. driving along on my way...

I done 4 other muddies as in bigger on my D2, still trying to sort out the horn problems as in i need a new one lol. made a appointment for check on the gas conversion as with this heat she is running really bad on LPG and silky smooth on petrol.. So no more running on LPG until it's checked.:(

Tried to fix my horn, checked sparkplugs,oil, air filter... fitting bigger tires tomorrow :)

Alrighty then... Took the grill off, and see 2 horns.. one connected other one plug desintegrated... no wonder it stopped working... new plug going to on there or cable shoes whatever :P

Yeah but.. i like the freelander!!!! It was my first land rover or is.. i did look after it.. got new tires new hoses fresh HG and cambelt, new oil and plugs.. just need a new bottle LOL. And anything electric works too :P

Ok so i got my new D2.. working fine.. now the bloody horn stopped working, checked the fuse which is fine.. When i press the horn button.. i can hear the relay in the fuse box clicking but no horn.. surely it just didn't die just like that?
