Freelander 1999 1800 Petrol Clutch cylinders

Thats the difficult bit! I seem to remember when I did one using something to lever it on with? or can you get a pair of water pump pliers in to squeeze it on? Good luck.

    Freelander alloy wheels

The ones in the picture are the same as on my 2005 55 plate so no problem fitting.

    where is the pollen filter?

I had a 2000 1.8GS A/C that had one. Access a bit fiddly from underneath if you find it.

    egr valve

Daft observation but have you checked the oil level. I had the same problem last year after buying my TD4. Six weeks before I bought it the car had been in to a Main Stealer somewhere in Wales. They had filled it I presume to the 6.8 litres it says in the book rather than the 5.5litres it...

    Bass bins and amp

It is a standard fit on later models. I have a 2005 HSE and its got sub-woofer in boot and an amp under the passenger seat. I don't know when they first started putting it in or on what models.

    Harmen Kardon door speaker!

Hi Jasey When you say the thing in the boot I assume you mean in the boot floor attached to the back of the cover? Thats a sub-woofer. The amp is under the passenger seat in mine. Hope this helps. Tony

    Towbar wiring

I have fitted towbars on 2 different Freelanders. The first used scotchblocks and on another car the one I got just plugged in. If you prgrade the flasher relay you may even get the trailer light on the dash to flash when the trailer is connected. Page 2 of Ianda's link has a bit about the relay...

    clutch problem freelander 2000

Hi Antndif You don't say which model it is. I had a 2000 1.8 petrol that this happened to just as described until one day it went completely on a 3 lane roundabout (middle lane rush hour ) and wouldn't go into gear! I gota new complete master and slave (it comes as one part) same day from...

    Freelander alloy wheels

Can't imagine theres much room for tyres! Mine has 17 inch standard wheels and the tyre size is 225/55/17 so on 18 less than 55 profile. Watch those kerbs!

Freelander HGF... with a twist (thermostat)

:welcome2:It is recomended by LR that if it hasn't already been moved that a "re-plumbing kit" is fitted which moves the thermostat out from the block and it ends up sited in the pipework behind the radiator. I think this was standard on later models (mine was a 2001my).It is a genuine landrover...

Getting a wire into cabin from engine bay

It comes out high up behind the glove box and right in the corner if i remember. I seem to remember as Optimus suggests you will need some kind of fishing equipment to pull it through (old wire coat hanger). I pushed plenty of wire in from the engine bay and then fished it with the coat (small...

Which is Best K&N or Pipercross?

Thanks DTO and Crewebiker. Noted that there may be only minimal performance improvement. I wouldn't have expected it to turn into a "fire breathing dragon" as others implicated. I just want to replace in the existing box to reduce the maintenance requirements as its fiddly to swap and perhaps...

New Wheels for Freelander 01 TD4

Mines got 17inch on it. Tyres are 225/55/17. These are standard size on HSE. They aren't much good in this weather cos of the width and nobody makes any decent A/T tyres in this size.Hope this helps

Which is Best K&N or Pipercross?

Which is Best K&N or Pipercross? The filter on my TD4 is ready for a change. I was thinking of fitting something that a). Improves performance and b). I won't have to bugger about getting into so often. Any body got any thoughts? Thanks for your replies.
