Thats what I thought and also i'm a little suspect on why some seem to fail on sills even though on disco they aren't as integral to the strength of the vehicle as a normal monocoque bodied car due to having the chassis.

seals still available on flea-bay around £15 mark. Mine leaked just stuck it in with mastic until such time as I get round to some new seals.

checked the filter for water? had dodgy diesel from garages before was similar when it did it.

Did a service on my 200 tdi today and am well ****ed at the location of the oil filter what a chew and made worse by some numpty who last serviced it having overtightened it using a chain wrench (could see the marks in it) tore the fecker in half trying to get it off and got covered in oil :mad:

Haynes manual states to wash all the components with parafin and reassemble.

belts 10 squid, engine rebuild considerably more. Do the belt asap.
