Defender 110 300tdi 110 Land Rover Defender Galvanised and new Bulkhead

Fixing it isn’t the problem. I can always find time to do that! For the most part this year, it will be sat around doing nothing. And it deserves far more than that!

Defender 110 300tdi 110 Land Rover Defender Galvanised and new Bulkhead

Open to offers (or ideas) is my beloved 1998 300tdi 110. Only considering selling as I am off to Canada for 4+ months next year and will not have the time for it. Mechanically sound except: Likely pinion bearing failure (salisbury axle) happened last week, the day I was collecting the keys...

Series 3 Why do tyres cost more than my Landy did??

I think my 265 75 16 (similar pattern to KM2s on rims came to less that 400. Think your looking at circa 65 ea tyre. Great service and very friendly. And they are made from a special lorry composite. So after 15000 miles still look brand new! (Very hard tyres) no problem at all in the wet or...

Anyone bought a new defender chassis recently ?

My brother and I both used Richards. Brilliant service. Good price and quality product. Saw Shielder at the LRO show. Bloke was very friendly and also sells Bulkheads.... can’t comment on quality or service. Seems like they are trying to break in to the market. @Grem thoughts?

    L322 Window tint approx cost

I did the back door on my 90. Was reasonably straightforward, kit online was cheap. So cheap that it doesn’t matter if you mess it up!

    Re-build Parts Suppliers

I did my LR last year, my biggest friction being time, I only had 14 days to get it done. I used JGS, Devon 4x4 and then lots of independents around me, but normally it was just who has the part closest, and I’d go and fetch it

Couldn’t agree more. Short strop for anchoring to a tree, or another vehicle. Or a robust anchor!

    ex mod 90 couple questions.....

Defender speedos are ropey at best, and a loose indication to what speed you are doing! So I wouldn’t bother swapping it! You’ll learn pretty quick what speeds your doing just based on what noise the engine is making!

I tried to do similar in Wiltshire. But there wasn't much interest. I emailed a pub that has Land to see whether we could camp but didn't even hear back from them! I think it's like all these things. You need to get it off the ground and word of mouth will do the rest.

My 2012 tdci wipers only work one speed

Take off the plastic trim around the ignition barrel so that you can get at the switch and contacts. Move it into the positions that aren't working and put a Fluke across it. See if you've got 12v at the switch

    Which winch

Muddy bottom is good for being quite tight in places. Especially near the woods! Some of the recoverys required multiple Land Rovers. Some got proper stuck!
