They are the glass fuses. The one for the the dash/curtesy light is intact. I figured the original switch used to be connected to the light stalk somehow and only worked if lights were on.. but as the side light/rear lights are now on the dash pod switch, and the stalk only does dipped and full...

No interior light also dont work. Used a multimeter could find a live.

Aha maybe i didnt state it was from a disco . Thanks for the info. My bonnet sits on top of the thing on the lower right of pic and is sitting high. If i change that for a disco air filter ( im guesing thats what it is) would that let the bonnet sit in the right place?

Heres couple more picks. Confised as somebody said it was a 300 because a 200 would have a turbo on the right above the engine.

Been looking yp the 200 and 300. It all says that the 300 dipstick is on the front of the engine.. and on the 200 it is on the side. Is mine definatley a 300? (Mine is on the side)

Very appeciative of all the feedback. Will be planning to to bits and bobs myself as would like to learn all things defender wise. So are you saying if i change the air filter for a discovery one. Then i wouldnt need the blue thing. Plus the bonnet may close better?

Hmmm. The guy i brought it from told me it was a 200tdi conversion. So a bit confused now . But it did get me home after a 3 hour drive with no probs lol.
