yep it was the timing belt snaped m8 !!! took it all apart now just trying to remember how it all goes back :doh:

mine seems to have a different cage to ya m8s 1 but get the idea !! those southdown 1s aint cheap :mad: so will try n make 1 in metal cant b too hard ;)

ive got a roll cage on me 90 pick up so limits wat snorkel i can use !! as u can c mines ****e :doh: anyone know where i can get 1 from that comes out of the wing top grill things ???

hi again ive got a 200 tdi which size head gasket do i use ??? and if i put a thicker gasket will this lower compression n give more boost ??? :D

dont worry i couldnt get any more depressed m8 lol ive had it 2 weeks n drove it once atleast im getting to know me neighbours lol

-they seemed ok m8 but it was getting dark lol prob should add them to the costs just to b on the safe side expensive old hobby this 4x4in :D

im looking on paddocks site and they dont seem to stock push rods rocker or rocker assembly timing cover bolts i want to order the lot tomoz and have everything to hand for rebuild any other sites i can have a look at ????

thanks again for advice lads right this is wats up took head off 4 bent push rods 1 broken rocker and lots and lots of swearing lol so the to get list is new rocker new push rods head gasket manifold gasket rocker cover gasket timing belt n gaskets few nuts n circlips more swearing is...

ive just taken the rocker cover off turned her over no movement on the rockers and noticed 1 of the rockers has snapped n bent the valve thing !!! i take it the belts snapped n gonna cost loads to rebuild ???

will check the wires out tomorow big ad !! just spoke to me m8 n he said if i take the rocker cover off n then turn it over to see rockers moving then aint the belt gone i do hope it is the wires dont fancy changing belt in this weather :doh:

it was turning over freely enough no nasty sounds comin from the engine !!

is changing the belt a big job ?? as iv only had the landy 2 weeks n drove it for 1 day !! loosing faith big time :doh:

so its belt rather than chain !! and by snapping this will the engine still turn over ?? as mine still does

g man i was under the impression the 200tdi was chain rather than belt !! pls comfirm that for me !! and is it easy to snap the chain/belt ????
