i took my car to the garage on sat.. and my worst fear confirmed.. both cats gone and also the centre box is gone too. the garage said that coz the gar has got LPG i can actually get rid of the cats and put a pipe on instead. So ive seen a lot of diesel car decat pipes but do they do them...

mine is a 4.0 v8 Es (xreg 2000) the reason i think the cats have gone is that when applying accelaration i got a vibration from the car and a humming vibration noise ( i had the exact same thing on my bmw 540 which turned out to be the cat)

I have just got a 4.0 ES (2000 xreg) and i am getting about 180 miles to £30 of LPG (60 litres) which i calculate to be about 13mpg. can i ask what do the 2.5 diesel engine gets in terms on mpg? im jsut wondering if i went for the wrong engine ??
