    L322 Air con question

A new belt fixed the issue, not really sure why but a nice easy fix anyway

L322 Steering wheel wobble after 60mph

Ok so turned out to be a small amount of play in bothers inner tie rods but mainly the lower control arm bush was completely free to move around inside the arm, could barely detect the movement while manually moving the wheel but once driving was very obviously an issue, cheap easy fix thankfully

L322 Rear tie rod stubborn much!!!

I’ve ordered the bits from island 4x4, everything except the washers, they weren’t a stock item so I’ll get those from the local Land Rover specialist, not looking forward to my Saturday job lol

Great, sounds like a fun job, where did you get the parts from?

L322 Rear tie rod stubborn much!!!

So I replaced the tie rods on the front of my rangie and figured I ought to get it aligned, Couldn’t do it because the rear os is way off aligned, had a look and it’s the same sort of system as the camber adjustment, Easy I thought. Wrong. It’s near impossible to get a socket on one end and...

No not even close, the petrol does though

L322 Gearbox oil change, good or bad news

Yeah I think I’ll go with the tried and tested sump dump method, drives great now anyway so I’ll do another couple, although I think I’ve decided to sell it and keep my diesel, I’d love to keep the supercharged but realistically with a 2.8 mile commute it’s going to drink the fuel to much.

L322 Gearbox oil change, good or bad news

Ok so good old amazon delivered a new thermostat to me, turns out my old one was measuring around 40% low, Did another sump dump although I hadn’t done many miles but the fluid was back to a thin grim black colour again, 2.5 out again and 2.5 back in, So after letting the engine warm up to...

L322 Gearbox oil change, good or bad news

Drained it warm I’d say, about 20-25 minutes after a 3 mile drive home, I’ll do it again at the weekend and get myself a better thermometer I think, I was surprised to only get 2.5 out to be honest, I’d read more like 4.5 comes out

L322 Gearbox oil change, good or bad news

Might take a while to get most of the old. crap out at this rate lol When I had volvos there was a way to flush the system in one go, would take about 16litres but did a good job, can’t think how to modify the procedure for the landy though, it involved filling through the dipstick tube and...

L322 Gearbox oil change, good or bad news

L322 Gearbox oil change, good or bad news

Ok so I did the first of the 3 expected sump dumps this evening, Firstly I was surprised at how horrid and thin the old oil was (pictured) Secondly I was surprised on 2.5 litres came out so I assumed it must have been low on fluid. I guess the good news is there was no sign of anything in the...

    L322 What’s it worth rrsc

Well I’ve gone and done it, bought a 20litres drum of the stuff, I figure the car was cheap so I’ll be the guinea pig and see what happens, worst case scenario is I sell it with a drive train fault, but fingers crossed it doesn’t cause any damage and works like a dream
