i have been told that if it is rock hard then it is head gasket but if you can squeese it then its ok..

i have removed the plate, there was no washer behind the nut, but there was a washer behind the plate so i removed that. what is a shim because as far as i could see there was nothing else behind there. it worked when i put it back together but i wont know for sure if it has cured it till...

so if they dont come off, why are the loose then. i hope the nuts underneath are tight...

yep chrome wheel nut lock covers. some are loose but they wont come off and i dont want to damage the alloy with brute force
