i have just drove it again to pick the mrs up and the temp is now going mad, before it seemed to happen when the coolant was moving around the system but now its just random, sometimes it does it sometimes it dont. was doing it all the way there and nothing on way home, this is so baffeling...

hi all, i seem to be having problems with my p38 deisel range rover. i can drive along fine and then see the temp dial slowly creep up, sometimes goes into red, light comes on and i get limited power and then with a second or 2 the temp goes down to middle again. then slowly starts to creep...

i take it it is just a little hook in the lock???? i have tried the coat hanger trick. so fricking fiddly, never worked. i was thinking of cutting a hole next, not that i really want to but looks like my only choice. thanks for the help peeps. mike

no fault readings on dash at all, not even about the eas. only fault he gets is an alarm fault which he has had for years. should i be able to hear the pump. like on my p38 i can here air wizzing when i look under. i take it that would be the pump????
