Should I be checking anything or just topping up the fluid?

It's a 1996 P38 4.0 but I'm quite a way up north!

Just been to the body shop with the RR and they say that the lower tailgate is not really repairable as the aluminium has split on the fold. New from Land Rover the gate is about £270 but the ones on ebay seem to have similar problems. Anybody know of a good source?

Do these appear to have everything you need to fit them? Do they look like a pair as there are differences between the two which don't seem to look right?

It does have an immobiliser but having opened the doors with remote from locked, you then have to click open again to start the engine. This is not always the case though and it will usually start first turn. It is obviously connected to the automatic locking system but seems a bit illogical...

That's interesting! This is definitely not ex police. It is Auto and has air con etc but no sun roof. Is it easy to fit the side steps?

He has already offered the petrol. Don't think I'll push him on the mats as it has almost a years tax. By the way has anybody ever seen a RR with this kind of cloth interior? It's a kind of dark beige fabric which is not like anything I've seen as they always seem to be leather.
